NEW HOTEL SHERMAN CHICAGO
RANDOLPH, CLARK, LAKE, AND LA SALLE STS.
Wednesday.
My dear Miss Addams:
You will remember the writer as John Francis Glynn -- "Prison Poet" -- Lecturer on the "Boy Problem." Last year you bought a copy of my book -- and was interested in knowing if I would lecture before your Woman's Club. Realizing how busy you are, it is to be [page 2] expected that some plan will not mature.
Duncan Clark, of the Post, is trying to arrange a lecture at the City Club for me, and we hope to have many of the Club Women of Chicago hear my message. I've lectured before over 100 dinner Clubs here, but have not interested the Woman's Clubs -- for lack of a hearing. [page 3]
I am sure that with your [cooperation], that of Miss Vittum, Miss Binford, Mrs J Marc Fowler, Duncan Clark, I will be able to convince many Woman's Club Presidents that my mission and my message is [worthwhile].
I hope for a chat with you Friday at 10:00 a.m.
Yours for Service
J. F. GLYNN
1431 W. ERIE ST. City.
