My dear Miss Addams:
I spent several hours yesterday at Dayton, Ohio, with Governor Cox, the democratic nominee for president, with the result that I have concluded to support him publicly and will issue a statement in that behalf as soon as I can prepare it. In this connection I would appreciate very much an opportunity to talk over the political situation with you and I hope you will give me an opportunity when more important matters do not press.
Sincerely yours,
