It was reported officially at Limerick yesterday that 60 of the prisoners tried on Tuesday in connection with the Cahirguillamore shootings on the night of December 26 were sentenced by Field General Court-martial to ten years' penal servitude, of which five years has been remitted in each case.
{The official report of the shooting stated that a police party was fired on by sentries during a raid on a dance. A constable was killed. Fire was returned and five men were killed. All the men present -- 135 -- were arrested.}
