Dear Miss Addams,

Frau Hertzka is sailing for America this month with her husband (he is a music publisher) who is crossing on business. She wants to get into contact with the work the Am-Red C. is doing for Siberian prisoners which they work upon a large scale. [page 2]

I have given her letters to Mrs. Cothren, Mrs Post, G. Abbott, Miss Breckinridge, Dr Hamilton, Mrs. Forbes, Mrs. [Amory] Codman, Miss Wald, Mrs. Simkhovitch, Mrs. Kelley, Ms. Villard.

H. Cheever will give her some others.

I have asked her to send you her address in America and to tell you what she can of her plans.

If you are in Colorado as I hear you will hardly be able to see her. I do trust you will have a fine undisturbed rest.

Yours devotedly

Emily Balch
