Dear Miss Addams,
Our Members of our British Section have gone to Ireland on the invitation of our Irish Section to look into conditions there and have returned to England horrified at what they have seen and are arranging a series of meetings on the subject at Manchester, London and elsewhere.
Now comes a letter from Miss Bennett making the following proposal. Will you not consider whether it is not practicable to do something along the lines that she suggests? What a blessing it would be if an outside tap might crystallize the situation which it seems impossible to have continue as it is. There must be strong feeling in England in [favor] of a decent and honest solution of the [centuries] old difficulty.
