Dear Miss Addams:

I should have let you know that I wired Mr. Krehbiel, our California correspondent and representative, in the matter of Miss Whitney. His answer was that he had tried to see her and by accident failed, but that he had the matter in mind and would get us something.

P.S. Since writing the above, I have a wire from Mr. Krehbiel in which he says: "Have plan for handling Whitney case".
