My dear Miss Addams:

On two trips to Chicago during the past ten days, I have found you out of the city. Hence it was impossible for me to personally arrange the exact hour of your engagement with us. I wrote you, however, some time ago that I felt your time would be best conserved by reaching here on a late afternoon train in time for supper with our recently organized Social Service Round Table, and after supper that you address the friends of the college and the Round Table on any topic which you yourself may choose. Several of our graduates have written me suggesting that you talk on the Food Situation in Europe as you saw it on your recent investigation.

The Rockford College Association luncheon in Chicago last Saturday at the College Club was a very happy affair. More than one hundred former students of the college were present.

With best wishes, I am

Cordially yours,

Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
800 S. Halsted St.,
Chicago, Ill.
