HULL-HOUSE,
335 SOUTH HALSTED STREET,
CHICAGO.
There are few men who have had the unusual experiences which have fallen to Mr. Robins who at the same time have the power of extracting from them a moral and a social value and the ability and eloquence to place them before an audience.
Mr. Robins' presentation of the "Homeless Man", founded upon his two years' experience as head of the Municipal Lodging House in Chicago is one of the most telling appeals for humanitarian effort which I have ever heard.
Mr. Robins really restores public speaking to its original function. A lecture should give an incentive to action and not be a mere matter of an evening's entertainment.
