Biographical Text

William G. Hibbard Jr. graduated from Harvard in 1892 and worked as treasurer for his father's company, before resigning in order to go to France for the Y.M.C.A. He was a trustee of St. Luke's Hospital, Chicago, and the Chicago Foundlings' Home. Hibbard was also the director of the Chicago Trust Company. He was also part of the Good Roads Committee of the Association of Commerce, leading a community effort for improved drainage.

Hibbard married Susan Follansbee in 1899. Hibbard died in 1920.
