My dear Miss Gilbert:

Miss Addams has just left the city for perhaps a six weeks' absence and she has asked me to answer your letter of July 4th in reference to tickets for the mass meeting in honor of the Russian Commission from Petrograd.

Mr. Charles F. Merriam is Secretary of the Reception Committee and I believe that the best chance of securing tickets would be through him. I do not know that tickets will be issued, but I would advise that you take this matter up with him.

I see that you live on Woodlawn Avenue, -- you may, perhaps, know Mr. Merriam personally.

Very sincerely yours,

Office Secretary

Miss Helen S. Gilbert,
5234 Woodlawn Avenue,
Chicago, Illinois.
