My dear Mr. Bourne:

May I tell you how very much I admired your article in the June Number of "The Seven Arts." In addition to everything else, it is a great pleasure to have the preposterous editorial which appeared in The New Republic soon after the outbreak of the war, replied to in such a masterly manner.

May I ask you whether any arrangements have been made for reprinting it and whether you would consider it a misfortune if the Woman's Peace Party asked permission to make reprints.

I am sending you a copy of a very dull address I recently gave before the Chicago City Club, and beg to remain

Faithfully yours,

Jane Addams [signed]
