The Hawthorne Inn,
Dear Sister Gyles --
I was delighted to get your letter this morning and of course I want you to stay at Hull-House and should be bitterly disappointed if you didn't. I was thrown off the track and felt that I had no right to interfere because Miss Gulliver told me that you had spoken to her.
I have written her this morning saying that you would stay and [mightily] glad I was to get a chance to. [page 2] Mary Smith sends her love and an assurance of her relief and pleasure in your decision. We are having a fine time here. Always affectionately yours
