Our interview with the President was very satisfactory. He welcomed our suggestions and expressed a desire to secure precisely the sort of high grade commission that this Committee has anticipated from the beginning, and asked for our continued interest, support and recommendations in the consideration of the problems that he will take up before a final decision is reached upon the personnel of the Commission.

Nearly all of the members of the Committee who were not present at the meeting were good enough to make suggestions in writing, all of which were given careful consideration, and I want to thank the members of the Committee collectively for these written communications which, unfortunately, I have been unable to acknowledge individually.

Very truly yours,
S. M. Lindsay [signed]

Chairman.
