My dear Miss Grasse:
Your letter addressed to Miss Addams has been referred to the office and I wish to report that the request for books to be sent to you for English speaking soldiers in Germany was made at several meetings of the Chicago Branch of the Woman's Peace Party, but I regret to say that no books were sent to the office.
Miss Addams wishes me to express her regret that we have been unable to help you with this.
Sincerely yours,
Miss Antoinette Grasse,
Hotel Astor,
New York City.
