Chicago, Feb. 6. -- An appeal for the maintenance of peace with Germany through a league of neutral nations was sent to President Wilson yesterday by Miss Jane Addams of Hull House. Her message follows:
"Many of us hope that you may find it possible to meet the present international situation in league with other neutral nations in Europe and South America, whose interests are similarly involved. Such an alliance might prove to be the beginning of a league standing for international rights and would at least form a method of approach less likely to involve any one nation in war."
Miss Addams is ill at 12 West Walton Place. Through friends she said:
"I am certain the words I sent to the president reflect the feelings and opinions of a great many peace workers in America today."
