Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Ill.

Dear Miss Addams:

I have a letter from Dr. Mez in which he tells me that he is a hopeful candidate for the secretaryship in Chicago, and that his chief rival is Dr. Tryon of Boston. Dr. Tryon is an able, dignified and sincere worker for peace. As compared with Dr. Mez, he lacks breadth of knowledge and especially personal fire.

I have some information from the Ford expedition, on the whole, favorable to its work and purposes.

Very sincerely yours,

Item Relations
