My Dear Miss [Addams],
I am on a debate at the University High School. Several times before you have helped me win a debate by giving me a little of your most precious advice and views on the matters. The question I wish you would answer, if you can spare a [page 2] few moments of your valuable time is "What effect would an increase to 500,000 men in the United States Army and a similar (extensive) increase in the navy, have upon the proposed peace movement. If you will just give me your personal view on the matter I will be most grateful to you.
Sincerely yours
Estelle Mayer.
